KS-19522L1 recorder-coupler, also known as Voice Connecting Arrangement RDL. These found wide use in radio stations before the advent of digital broadcasting, usually for recording phoned-in reports from field reporters. They were quite sophisticated for their time, and they provide all the answer/announce/record/warning tone logic of a typical old-style answering machine. Contributed by Bruce Lane.
