Prejudice and hate can sometimes be found "hidden in plain view."  In this article, Herbert takes a look at some troubling listings found Vienna telephone directory from 1943.  It's not pleasant reading but there's a lesson there for those who are willing to listen.

The Manhattan was a German version of the Trimline, made to Siemens specifications by Western Electric. Sets were marked D Fe Ap 370-1 (desk), D Fe Ap 390-1 (wall), and miniset 100 (PBX). Includes photos and wiring diagrams. Contributed by Herbert Schwarz.

This 183-page document summarizes extensive research done by a team of collectors and historians expanding on pre-sale auction information on a phone purported to have been owned by Adolph Hitler. The phone sold at auction for $230,000 on February 19, 2017. Did the buyer get what was expected?
